Who are we?

Wildcrafted Organics is a holistic, nutritionally packed skincare collection  - each product contains high concentrations of precious certified Organic and or Wildcrafted Botanicals. Our products are enjoyed in a daily skincare ritual that is as ADDICTIVE as it is effective. We do not use cheap fillers or any questionable chemicals instead each ingredient is chosen for its ability to nourish, rebuild and protect your skin.

Created by Herbalist and Nutritionist Nicole O'Sullivan this range is a culmination of love and respect for the incredible healing power of plants and a desire to harness in particular the unique essence of Australia's unique wild harvested botanicals.

Wild harvested

These are plants that have grown wildly without any interference, they develop differently as they must survive in the harshest of environments - it is here that they don't just survive - they thrive where other plants could not exist. Incredibly high levels of anti oxidants are produced to enable survival, an example of this is Terminalia Ferdinandiana or Kakadu Plum which is an Australian native plant that has been used extensively by Indigenous Australians as both a source of food and traditional medicine. Kakadu plum contains the worlds highest levels of vitamin C.

Kakadu Plum also contains phytochemicals such as gallic and ellagic acids. Gallic acid has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal activities, as an anti oxidant it protects skin cells from free radical damage. Ellagic acid encourages elasticity & suppleness in aged skin.

Organically cultivated plants are nutritionally superior to conventionally grown plants and contain no harmful chemical pesticide residues. In some cases organically grown botanicals are the appropriate choice when there is any risk of losing a species.

Unique to Australia Botanicals

Australian plants survive extreme climates and conditions that influence the concentration of potent bio-actives they store as stated above in the example of wild harvested Kakadu Plum.

We use a Wild Plum complex that is composed of 3 Superfruits with antioxidant properties. It stimulates Hyaluronic Acid, Pro-Collagen I and Fibronectin Synthesis. It moisturises and rejuvenates the look of the skin for a youthful looking skin.

KAKADU PLUM

Also known as Gubinge, Billygoat Plum or Munraga thrives in a small and unique region of Northern Australia. Aboriginal people traditionally ate and used it as an antiseptic and soothing balm for aching limbs. As a strong anti oxidant It protects skin cells from being damaged by free radicals.

Kakadu Plum has the world highest vitamin C concentration, equivalent to 100X an Orange. Vitamin C promotes synthesis of new collagen in the skin and maintains a strong immune system. It also has important antioxidant sources (Vitamins A, C & E) that protect the skin cells from being damaged by free radicals. It also contains gallic acid that has anti-inflammatory properties.

ILLAWARRA PLUM

Also known as Daalgall and Gidneywallums is Native to the sub-tropical Eastern territory of Australia. The fruit has a plum-pine flavor and was traditionally eaten by the Indigenous People of Australia.

Illawarra Plum has a high content of anthocyanins (cyanidin 3-glucoside & pelargonidin 3-glucoside). Its antioxidant capacity level is higher than most fruits and represents 7x more than of Blueberries.

BURDEKIN PLUM

Burdekin Plum grows in the North-eastern part of Australia. The tree produces large, black, pumpkin-shaped fruits. The Aboriginals traditionally referred to it as ‘Noongi’ or ‘Rancooran’.

Burdekin Plum has a high concentration of the anthocyanin cyanidin 3-glucoside. It also contains an important amount of vitamin C. The combination of these antioxidant compounds contributes to slow the rate of free radical damages to skin.

Wildcrafting

This is the sustainable harvesting of plants from their natural or wild habitat for food or medicinal purposes. It applies to uncultivated plants where ever they might be found and is not necessarily limited to wilderness areas. Ethical considerations are often involved such as protecting endangered species with care taken to only remove a few plants, flowers, or branches, to maintain its existence in the natural environment.

We use wildcrafted infusions along with other precious botanical ingredients to create my skincare range. It is also very important to me that the products feel and smell as beautiful as the flowers do and in turn that they are pleasurable as they nourish your skin.
